Egg-Free Dairy-Free Chocholate Cake

  • 170.0 g flour
  • 0.5 ts salt
  • 225.0 g sugar
  • 23.0 g cocoa
  • 2.0 ts baking powder
  • 5.0 tblsp vegetable oil
  • 1.0 ts vanilla extract
  • 250.0 ml cold water
  • 90.0 g chocolate chips


  1. Preheat oven to 175C, grease a 18cm tray.
  2. In a large bowl. combine flour, salt, sugar, cocoa powder and baking soda. Mix well with fork, then stir in oil, vinegar and vanilla extract. When dry ingredients are thoughly moistened, pour in cold water and stir until batter is smooth. Stir in chocolate chips and pour batter into prepared pan.
  3. Bake in preheated oven for 30 to 35 mintues until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool on a rack.
