Bananas with pecans and chocolate

  • 4.0 bananas
  • 100.0 g plain chocolate finely chopped
  • 50.0 g pecan nuts roughly chopped
  • 2.0 tbsp white rum
  • 100 ml vanilla ice cream
  • 4 tsp golden syrup
  • 8 Strawberries


  1. Slit each banana along the length, place chopped chocolate, syrup and nuts into the bananas. Cover with aluminium foil.
  2. Barbecue the bananas over a medium heat, for 12-15 minutes, turning them occasionally until they are Under and black all over.
  3. Grill the strawberries for a couple of minutes, making sure the cut side is down.
  4. Serve with ice cream, bananas and strawberries. A sprinkeling of rum can also be added.
