o | Fry the onion for 5 minutes in butter or olive oil at moderate heat, add the minced meat and divide the lumps using a fork until you have a grainy consistency. | ||
o | Add tomatoes, tomato paste, garlic, jalapenos peppers, salt and spices. Let the mixture simmer for 10 minutes without cover. | ||
o | Add the baked beans and let simmer for a few minutes more. | ||
o | Serve together with garlic bread and iceberg lettuce or rice. | ||
o | The dish can be deep frozen and thawed in the microwave oven. Leftovers can be used by putting them on slices of white bread, cover with cheese (grated or in slices) and bake in the oven. |
