I had issues trying to get theta to be a bold symbol in latex, niether \bf or \mathbf seemed to work.
Searching the internet gave no real solutions but after asking a cooluge he proposed i use:

\newcommand{\boldtheta}{\boldsymbol \theta}

\vec{\theta}=\boldtheta
