This works as a fantastic desert when out grilling, it can be prepared before starting to grill the food and tastes good in the summer heat.
Bananas with pecans and chocolate

- 4.0 bananas
- 100.0 g plain chocolate finely chopped
- 50.0 g pecan nuts roughly chopped
- 2.0 tbsp white rum
- 100 ml vanilla ice cream
- 4 tsp golden syrup
- 8 Strawberries
Slit each banana along the length, place chopped chocolate, syrup and nuts into the bananas. Cover with aluminium foil.
Barbecue the bananas over a medium heat, for 12-15 minutes, turning them occasionally until they are Under and black all over.
Grill the strawberries for a couple of minutes, making sure the cut side is down.
Serve with ice cream, bananas and strawberries. A sprinkeling of rum can also be added.
